Conservation of Nature & Natural Resources.

It is one of the prime mandates of SESA. Since inception SESA is working to create environmental awareness among the youths in particular and people in general. Besides awareness generation it is implementing various filed activities also to restore our natural resources. More than 500 environmental awareness programs have been organized by the organization so far. About 30000 people have been sensitized through such programs.

- 22nd April, Earth Day Celebration in association with Earth Day Foundation.

- 5th June, World Environment Day Celebration under the aegis of Centre for Environment Education.

- Environmental Orientation to School Education (EOSE) under Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India.

- Development and publication of resource materials for creating environmental awareness on wild-life protection, soil and water conservation, pollution and sustainable development.

- Consultancy support for Rain water harvesting, environmental impact assessment, research and survey, project work etc.

- Nursery raising and Plantation of about 200000 saplings over more than 100 acre of community land through social fencing in village Lohra, Rajwadih, Sua, Kauria, Pandwa, Basu, Bhusra, Rabdi etc. with support from Ministry of Forests & Environment and UNDP. 20 tones of biomass generated every year, 20 hectares of forest saved and about 25000 kg of carbon emission is restricted.

- Land and Water Management program, Land leveling of about 600 acre of land , 20 Pond construction and renovation, 130 vermi-compost pit and about 5000 litre of organic pesticide preparation, 300 smokeless chullah, improved agricultural practices under Small Grant Program of CEE, UNDP and Govt. of India.

- 200 women SHGs fostered, more than 5 crore of bank deposit, internal loaning, bank credit harnessed.

- 850 households of 15 villages adopted organic farming. About 1500 quintal of organic vegetables and 400 kg of mushroom produced every year. Rs. 3000 to 5000 monthly income increased to about 800 households in 5 to 8 years in 12-15 villages.
