Empowerment through Employment.

SESA believes that real empowerment can be accomplished through livelihood generation and economic sustenance. Though agriculture is the main income generating activities in the villages but during non-agricultural period for all it is imperative to opt for alternative employment generation activities. SESA is providing regular alternative employment generating opportunities to the villagers through training and farm and non-farm sector production interventions. Keeping in view the need, SESA has developed a Vocation Training Centre of its own in village Bhusaria near Dubiakharn over 1 acre of land with financial support from Japan Consulate in the year 2020.


  • - 300 artisans benefited from Ambedkar Hastashilpa Vikas Yojana (AHVY) of D.C, Handicraft, Ministry of Textile (Govt. of India). Skill development training, Design Development training, marketing support etc were provided to the artisans in the field of Artistic Textile, Jute and Bamboo craft.

  • - Training and Tool kit distribution to 30 cobblers of Daltonganj through Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC).

  • - Training to 20 potters of Daltonganj and village Neora (Chainpur), Palamu and Electric Wheel distribution through KVIC.

  • - 50 Electric wheels being distributed to potters of Daltonganj, Chianki, Neora and Ladi through D.C, Handicraft, Ministry of Textile (Govt. of India).

  • -Design development training program for 30 women in Jute Craft through D.C, Handicraft, Ministry of Textile (Govt. of India).

  • -Training on Artificial Jewelry making and Beautician and bridal make up to 30 women each of Mahuadarn and Baskercha through Palamu Tiger Project.

  • -Training on vermi-compost making, nursery raising, smokeless chullah making to about 500 villagers of Pandwa and Patan block under SGP through UNDP and CEE.

  • -400 people benefited in term of income generation. An additional income opportunity of Rs. 1000 to 3000 created for 50 artisans.
